Horse-Assisted Trainer
I graduated in Hungarian and Communication Studies at the University. I have a qualification as a horse-assisted trainer with the international organisation Horsedream. I am a member of the EAHAE- European Association of Horse Assisted Education. In Paris I studied with Linda Kohanov (www.eponaquest.com ) and in 2022 I qualified as a Gestalt Therapist. I founded Nativemethod 8 years ago, since then I have been running self-awareness, leadership development and team building sessions with horses. In 2017, Natívmethod was listed as one of the most influential projects of the year in Highlights of Hungary. In 2019, I gave a TED talk at the TEDxLibertyBridgeWoman conference in Budapest, Hungary.
My goal is to introduce the horse assisted learning method to as many people as possible, to experience the ancient experience of connecting with horses. I believe that self-awareness and clear communication play a key role in helping us to recognise and harness our true values and find our place in the world.
My story
I AM NATASA KOVALIK, I GREW UP WITH MORCOS, MY HORSE.
I was half a year old when my father first put me on Morci’s back, and by the age of six I was riding him on my own. I remember little things: taking the saddle off after a cold February gallop, his body steaming, the life force flowing through us. We can do anything. At other times, everyday life makes me listless: Morci seems to take on these energies, his movements lose their harmony. I scratch his earlobe, he loves it, now I smile too. My zest for life is returning. That’s the point.
The horse is a mirror: we see ourselves in it. The closeness of the horse gives us back what we can very easily lose: ourselves. With my work I want to give people an experience of self-awareness. This ancient experience brings us closer to ourselves and makes us long for what is ours.
